About JG Building

I began my building career in Australia before relocating to New Zealand. Since then I’ve worked throughout Central Otago, gaining experience across everything from complex architectural homes to renovation work and remediation projects.

Some of my early work in Queenstown involved repairing and rebuilding leaky bathrooms, which gave me a solid understanding of how buildings perform over time and how to properly fix problems when issues arise. From there I moved into high-end architectural builds where attention to detail, careful planning, and quality workmanship are essential.

I believe in an old-school approach to building, solving problems on site, communicating clearly, and taking pride in doing the job properly.

Methven already holds a special place for me. I first came here in 2010, where I met my now wife. After spending many years living and working around Central Otago and Queenstown, we’re excited to be returning to Canterbury to be closer to family and so my wife can be nearer to Christchurch for her work.
